Anchor Stranded Cotton is a 6-strand embroidery thread made from extra-long, top-quality Egyptian cotton fibers. Each of the 6 individual strands is double-twisted. The convenient skein design allows for easy removal of the desired thread length without having to unwind the entire skein.
Thanks to its flexible strand separation, Anchor Stranded Cotton is the most widely used embroidery thread, with many applications across almost all embroidery techniques. It is ideal for cross-stitch on fabrics of varying densities, as well as for surface embroidery, canvas work, and other counted thread techniques.
This thread owes its special sheen, intense light reflection, and unique softness to the long Egyptian cotton fibers and a double mercerization process. Anchor Stranded Cotton comes in an 8-meter skein format and is available in 463 beautiful solid colors (washable at 95°C).
