Darova Fillet Shawl Crochet Kit

For these instructions, we are working with Romanian crochet designer Andrea Crețu. She was inspired by traditional Romanian embroidery for this scarf.
The name "Darova" comes from a small village where similar motifs are used in thread embroidery.

You will receive a package with the bobble (gradient yarn), 4-ply, 1,500m running length.
You will receive the instructions as a download link.

Additionally required materials (not included in the package):
• Crochet hook 3.0 mm
• Sewing needle to weave in ends

The example is made with a 4-ply bobble with 1,500 m running length. It measures 196 cm in length (without fringes) and 76 cm in width.

Required knowledge:
• Chain stitches (ch)
• Double crochet (dc)
• Extended double crochet (Edc) – explained in the instructions. The instructions also include a link to a video [in English]
• Standing double crochet (Sdc) – explained in the instructions. The instructions also include a link to a video [in English]
• Skip stitches (sk)
• Slip stitches (sl st)
• Single crochet (sc)
• Yarn over (yo)
For the basic filet instructions:
• Full box (FB)
• Empty box (EB)

Bobble material:
• 50% cotton/50% polyacrylic
• Made in Germany
• Oeko Tex Standard 100
• Tested for harmful substances
• Washable at 40°C

The instructions are written, once as "Basic instructions" for more experienced filet crocheters, and then in detail for beginners.
The instructions include a complete crochet chart, both for the basic instructions and for the beginner's version, in which each stitch is drawn individually.

The last pages are in DIN A3 format. We recommend viewing this page on screen, as you can zoom in better there. If you want to print the page, you should do so in at least DIN A3 format.
