Baby Blanket - Mosaic Crochet Pattern "Alexander the Great" Instructions

This pattern is for the mosaic crochet pattern "Alexander the Great". It is worked in one piece, without cutting the yarn after each color change.

The pattern is particularly suitable for blankets.

For orientation:

The blanket in the photo was crocheted with 1 bobbel x 1,500 m in shades of green and 1 bobbel x 1,500 m in shades of gray, each 3-ply, and is the version with forked post stitches.

So, a total of approx. 1,500 m of green tones and 1,500 m of gray tones as a contrast color.

This results in a baby blanket with a size of approx. 0.75 x 1.05 m.

Crochet hook 3.0 mm

Required knowledge:

• Slip stitch (sl st)
• Single crochet (sc)
• Front post double crochet (fpdc) – alternatively, a forked stitch can be used here, which is inserted into the single crochet once in front of the work and once behind the work. This results in a blanket that has a great reversible effect. However, this technique is a little more difficult to work and uses more yarn than the version with simple post stitches.
